The covered dental benefits for children and adults with a disability or special needs are identical to the other Medicaid enrollees. Please refer to our Children’s Services Guide and Adult’s Services Guide for additional information.
Additionally, Florida’s Medicaid dental plans offer Case Management for children and adults with a disability or special needs.
Medicaid recipients who are developmentally delayed and medically compromised are eligible for Case Management assistance. The program focuses on a person-centered approach that allows the Case Manager to assist the individual with accessing oral health services while breaking down barriers to care. Your dental plan case manager is your go-to person. They will help you figure out how to get the dental services you need.
The Medicaid recipient must contact their respective dental plan and request Case Management assistance.
